The main purpose is to create an international non-formal context in which young people from Romania and Macedonia, share opinions, thoughts, and experiences, get to know each other, and collaborate to explore their cultures through the means of non-formal education methods.
The project is called “Borderless”, and takes place in a village called Bagaciu, Romania. There are 50 participants. 26 are from Macedonia, while the rest of 24 are from Romania.
This project is about team-building and the exchange of cultures. That’s why only two countries are participating.
Bagaciu is a small village based in Transylvania, Romania. It’s an example of a typical village in Transylvania with its mesmerizing architecture. People look very friendly. And a lot of people that came here learned a thing or two, about the Romanians, the Romanian culture, and their beliefs. We are staying at the Sachsenhof accommodation. First of all, it’s beautiful accommodation and the first thing you will notice it’s the beautiful front yard with its pool. The food is pretty good, alongside the service. Also, the people who work here are very friendly and kind.
The very important thing about the “Erasmus+” projects is of course the bond that you make during the project itself. Everyone, it’s actually really really friendly, and the people here are open to new experiences. And their willingness to learn about other cultures and people’s thoughts and characteristics is off the charts. The team that is here to make the project better is really doing their job, and that includes the participants too. The facilitator Viktor and the one who’s in charge of the logistics, Spaciu, are really doing their job.
The cultural exchange: This is a topic that we can talk about for a whole day. You name it, people in this project have learned it. First off all the Romanians are in their home country , so it’s an important task for them to teach the Macedonians their culture. But the Macedonians should take their task seriously too. People have learned slangs, traditions, songs, dances, culture, and beliefs.
