CULTURES THROUGH ARTS
CULTURES THROUGH ARTS
To increase social inclusion in communities and further by equipping participants from countries participating with competencies for building intercultural dialogue through visual arts.
Participants discovered visual arts as a means of building intercultural dialogue. They learned how to use non-formal activities related to visual arts to start and continue the intercultural dialogue in their communities, challenge stereotypes, broaden their outlook, increase cultural awareness, and foster social inclusion. They became more familiar with situations in other countries involved when it comes to minorities, people of different cultures or religions and inclusion.
Objectives achieved:
➼ Increased awareness in 4 communities about intercultural problems and influenced attitudes of 48 participants to the positive side towards people of different cultures, countries, ethnicity and religion.
➼ Raised skills, knowledge and attitudes of 48 participants from 4 countries in creating visual art as a powerful tool for building intercultural dialogue and fostering social inclusion.
➼ Broadened the outlook of 48 participants by fostering their values of freedom, tolerance, respect for others and a sense of belonging to their communities and Europe.
Culture through Arts was a youth exchange designed in four phases. Besides these, participants formed new friendships, exchanged their culture, overcame their fears, and developed themselves in a multicultural non-formal way.
