Digital Minds of the Future

Objectives of the project

The main goal of the training was to equip youth workers with practical digital competences that can be directly applied in non-formal education. Throughout the programme, participants worked towards three key objectives:

• Digital Competence Development – strengthening participants' ability to use digital tools, create digital content, and implement online and blended learning methods in youth work.

• Innovative Pedagogical Practices – exploring creative non-formal education methods that combine digital technologies, virtual collaboration, and experiential learning to increase youth engagement.

• Inclusive Digital Youth Work – promoting accessible and inclusive digital approaches that encourage the active participation of all young people, including those with fewer opportunities.

Learning Through Practice

Rather than focusing on theory alone, the programme was built around practical experience and international cooperation. Participants explored the foundations of non-formal education before moving into a series of workshops dedicated to digital youth work.

Throughout the week, they experimented with a variety of innovative digital tools for education, including interactive presentation platforms, digital storytelling applications, collaborative online workspaces, and artificial intelligence solutions. They learned how these resources can make youth activities more engaging, interactive, and accessible while supporting creativity and participation.

One of the highlights of the training was the opportunity to explore the educational potential of artificial intelligence. Participants worked with AI-powered tools to improve prompt writing, design learning activities, and even prototype digital applications addressing topics such as language learning, intercultural dialogue, project management, and youth participation. These activities demonstrated that modern technologies can become valuable allies in non-formal education when used responsibly and creatively.

The programme also included multimedia production, where participants created their own educational videos, as well as a digital scavenger hunt using Actionbound to explore the local community through gamified learning. Additional workshops introduced virtual learning environments, blended learning models, and collaborative methods for promoting respectful and inclusive communication in online spaces.

The Impact on Ingens Risus

For the four youth workers representing Ingens Risus, the training provided valuable opportunities to expand their professional competences, exchange good practices with colleagues from across Europe, and establish new international partnerships. Working in multicultural teams allowed participants to gain fresh perspectives on digital youth work while developing practical methods that can be transferred directly into their everyday activities.

The knowledge, tools, and educational approaches acquired during the mobility will be incorporated into the organization's future local and international projects. By integrating innovative digital methods into its activities, Ingens Risus aims to create more engaging, inclusive, and future-oriented learning opportunities for young people while continuing to contribute to the digital transformation of youth work through Erasmus+ cooperation.
